Hi, I’m Michelle and it is so nice to meet you! Let me tell you a bit about myself…
I married my best friend 15 years ago and he still makes me laugh, every day. I like to sew and am the only girl in the house…so rather than ”dress” my 3 boys, I sew for everyone else’s cute little girls. I’m the mom in the school pick up line with threads hanging off my shoes, and bags of embroidered goodies to be delivered. Everyone is happier this way.I grew up in my mom’s commercial embroidery shop and upon entering the family, my husband promptly began digitizing. Embroidery is a BIG part of our family. We are trying to teach the boys, but they are resistant. We tried to tell them that girls dig guys who can sew, but they aren’t buying it. So for now, it is just me sewing at the shop. Alan is at home creating embroidery files for people all over the States, and over seas, too. Yeah, he’s that good.
Feel free to come by the shop sometime. Or drop me an email….my forgetful mind doesn’t loose those messages! I try to be there a few times a week, but if you see the car at the shop just knock real loud on the door so I will hear you over the embroidery machine. I am also available for appointments, so shoot me an email and we can work it out.
Where did I get the name Threadberries? Well if you have ever tried to sweep up thread off carpet, you know the threads turn into little balls, or berries. Close cousin to dust bunnies. And yes, I have lots of those, too.
